Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award 2019
I am very excited to announce that my work I am sure you will tell me how I should feel today (Blue Monday) has been shortlisted for the Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Award 2019 . For those who have been following my weaving progress, this work was a return to large tapestries and was completed in a very short time frame at the end of last year/early this year.
I am looking forward to seeing the other works and feel very privileged to be shortlisted amongst some other fabulous artists working in textiles. It is also wonderful to be able to show this work to a broader audience as it hasn't been shown as yet. If you want to find out a little more about this work, check out my blog update here.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 1 June until 11 August at Wangaratta Art Gallery. The team there always put together a wonderful range of public programs, so if contemporary textiles is your thing - make sure you check it out!
